Dr. J. Andrew Yeh is a Chair Professor at National Tsing Hua University, jointly appointed at Dept. of Power Mechanical Engineering (動機系), Institute of Electronics Engineering (電子所), and Institute of NanoEngineering & Microsystems (奈微所). His current interests focus on RF silicon/SiC processing, Silicon Photonics and bio gas sensors. In the past, Dr. Yeh conducted research in dielectric liquid lenses, InN-based ambient sensors and wafer-level nanostructures for mechanical/bio/opto applications. He is an expert in multidisciplinary engineering and has extensive leadership experience across academia, industry, government, and research institutions. His roles include co-founder of a photonics startup in Silicon Valley (矽谷創業), Director of Taiwan Instrument Research Institute, Executive Secretary at the National Science and Technology Council Office, and Deputy Minister (副主委) of the Public Construction Commission in Taiwan.

Dr. J. Andrew Yeh currently serves as independent directors (獨立董事) at Chunghwa Telecom (中華電信) and at Tatung (大同). He also provides advising services to the chairs (董事長) of the world leading companies, such as GlobalWafers (環球晶) and Fusheng (復盛).

Dr. Yeh has been awarded with ASME fellow (美國工程師協會會士), NSC Outstanding award (國科會傑出研究獎), NSC Young Investigator Award (吳大猷獎). In 2025, he received the NSTC Distinguished Research Fellow Award (國科會最高獎項) as the youngest awardee of the year.
