         個人簡介

Dr. Chia-Hsiang Menq received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1985. He joined The Ohio State University (OSU) faculty in 1985, retired on January 1, 2023, and has been a professor emeritus ever since. From October 1, 2006 to December 31, 2022, he was the Ralph W. Kurz Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering at OSU. He is currently a research scholar in the department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University. His research focusses on the physical understanding, mathematical modeling, and control of linear/nonlinear dynamic systems. He uses mathematical modeling and analysis, modern sensing/actuation technologies, state-of-the-art digital control techniques, and real-time computation to design and realize novel engineered systems and one-of-a-kind instruments.
