Scholarship

  1. NTHU International Student Scholarship

  1. Type A: Full Scholarship (Monthly stipend + Tuition fee and Credit fee waiver) *NTD 20,000~40,000 per month
  2. Tuition fee and Credit fee waiver
  3. Automatically considered for the NTHU International Student Scholarship. Prospective students should apply for the scholarship with admission.

  1. NSTC Graduate Research Fellowship (NSTC-GRF) Pilot Program

  • Recipient Eligibility:

First-year PhD students enrolled in the first semester of their current year (including registrations in February and September). The following individuals are not eligible to receive this fellowship:

  1. Those who are engaged in full-time paid employment in public or private sectors or who apply for admission as part-time students possessing responsibilities related to employment.
  2. Students with statuses from Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
  3. Those who have applied for leave of absence and retained their admission eligibility or have not completed registration after admission.
  4. Those who are concurrently in receipt of scholarship or subsidy offered by the ROC government.
  • Amount and Duration:

Each fellowship recipient will be granted a monthly stipend of NTD 40,000 for a period of up to 3 years, starting from the first year of the PhD program. Stipend for those who graduate less than three years shall last until the month of graduation. The entire stipend is offered by NSTC.

College of Life Sciences and Medicine / Department of Power Mechanical Engineering Dual PhD Program

Students may apply for this program by the end of the first semester of the second year after their enrollment. Students being admitted into this program will be supervised by two advisors from different research fields, will have to complete two dissertations, and will be awarded two degree certificates.

  3. PME Departmental Travel Subsidy (once a year; NTD 5,000 for travelling in Asia; NTD 10,000 for other regions.

 

NSTC Overseas Project for Post Graduate Research

NSTC encourages domestic public and private universities to nurture excellent doctoral students with international research experience, and therefore establish overseas project for post graduate research.
