Professor Chao-An Lin received his BSc (1981) in Mechanical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan and M.Sc. (1986) and Ph.D. (1991) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK. In 1991 Dr. Lin joined the faculty of the department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Taiwan, where he also served as the deputy chair and department chair.
