Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty Positions
The Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track positions at the levels of assistant, associate, and full professors. The positions are open to all research areas, which include, but are not limited to:
□Thermo-Fluids and Energy
□Electrical and Control
□Solid and Micro/Nano Mechanics
□Design and Manufacturing
□NanoEngineering and MicroSystems.
We are looking for candidates who can develop world-leading research programs in mechanical engineering or related fields, and lead independent and collaborative research projects with undergraduate and graduate students. We offer competitive salary, start-up funding, laboratory space, reduced teaching load for first-year faculty, salary bonuses for outstanding academic records, on-campus housing, and other benefits. We also provide stipend support to the qualified doctoral student of the assistant professor. We encourage international collaboration and exchange among faculty members from diverse backgrounds. Currently, our faculty members have received their academic training from universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan. Half of the undergraduate courses are taught in English, so applicants who can teach in English are eligible.
The Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University is one of the top 100 Mechanical Engineering programs in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings. The department has strong connections to Hsinchu Science Park and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan, and receives about $7 million USD of research funding annually. The application deadline is Jun 30, 2025. Applications received before the deadline will be considered for the position starting on Feb 1, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will be considered for the next review cycle.

8. A statement of teaching interests with course outlines. Applicants with teaching experience are welcome to provide course evaluation results.
