Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty Positions
The Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track positions at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. The positions are open to all research areas, including, but not limited to:
- Thermo-Fluids and Energy
- Electrical and Control Engineering
- Solid and Micro/Nano Mechanics
- Design and Manufacturing
- Nanoengineering and Microsystems
We seek candidates who can develop world-class research programs in mechanical engineering or related fields and lead both independent and collaborative research projects with undergraduate and graduate students. We offer a competitive salary, start-up funding, laboratory space, a reduced teaching load for first-year faculty, salary bonuses for outstanding academic performance, on-campus housing, and other benefits. Qualified doctoral students of assistant professors may also receive stipend support. We encourage international collaboration and exchange among faculty members from diverse backgrounds. Our current faculty have received academic training from universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan. Half of the undergraduate courses are taught in English, so applicants who can teach in English are particularly welcome.
The Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University is a leading mechanical engineering program in Taiwan and is recognized as one of the top engineering programs globally. The department maintains strong connections with Hsinchu Science Park and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan and receives approximately $7 million USD in research funding annually.
